Tara Biggs, of Mahomet, joined the accounting team as a general ledger accountant Nov. 19 based at the financial cooperative’s central office in Mahomet.

Did you grow up in Rural America?

I was raised in Ford County and graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School. I earned an associate’s degree in accounting from Parkland College before receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Where were you before joining FCI?

I worked for 12 years at Carle in Urbana in various roles  – most recently as a staff accountant. Before that, I spent five years as an accounting specialist for the University of Illinois Foundation in Urbana.
